Grooming the Black Russian Terrier

The BRTCA does not have it’s own grooming program.  We would like to refer you to the attached links, which we feel you will find useful when grooming your BRT.  There are two basic styles in grooming:  the first is a sharper, more sculpted look and the second is a looser, more tousled natural look.  How you groom is a matter of preference and whether your dog is shown or is a pet.

Blackterrier

  Inches .59” to .79” or roughly 1/2 to 3/4 inch

Inches 1.18 to 1.97 or roughly  1 1/4 to 2 inches.

Less than 1/4 inch

Generally 2 to 4 inches
